This weekend has seen Wellington taken over by the Cuba Street Carnival. I admit it, I got lost in its lucid arms.
Last night saw the Carnival Parade. It was amazing. The sheer number of people in town, lining the streets, cheering the parade on. The colour, lights, sounds, dance and rhythm that exuded from the Parade. It crept into your bones. Standing on a balcony above street level, I couldn't but help move to the music. There's something infectious about it all.
Hopefully some of these pictures can do it justice.

Ooo I love the people hanging out on rooftops and window ledges. Looks like a blast. Not to mention that dragon looks wicked cool!
