USA part two.

It's been a long time between posts, and it's been my fault. Forgetting your power cord and leaving it sitting on the end of your bed in New Zealand will do that. But it's been fixed now, sleep easy.

I had written this amazing long post detailing all the stuff I did and what went on, but for some reason my browser closed and it's all gone now. So you get the abbreviated version.

Oregon was amazing and a spectular time. The person who matters the most knows it mattered the most.

Washington was just stunning. It's so beautiful up there, and I can't thank Patrick and Arij enough for taking me in for my time up there. You guys are fantastic.

I'll post some photos soon with explanations.

Minny the Mooch

So it's been a little while since posting. The new house doesn't have internet yet, so I'm mooching off my parents' connection for a little bit.

I'm also off to the States in not too many days. Something I'm very much looking forward to. As most already know.

As for interesting and intruging things, there's not too much really. There's a pretty nifty site for us Kiwis: Mr Vintage. It has some pretty amazing t-shirts. Not that I need anymore really, but it's fun to browse through childhood memories emblazened across a cotton canvas, medium size. If the price strikes you as too much, then you can find most of the shirts on places like this, the most nominative description if ever I saw one. For those of us who have to work, I recommend 3 Wisemen. Business shirts were never so collectible.

I'm sure I'll have more than interesting links and stories when I'm travelling through the US and Vienna. Though I did find out that I'm arriving in the evening in Vienna, right around the start of the major party going on, so we'll see how that pans out. Could be a very short night, but I'm not keen on turning down a chance to catch up with so many people from last year.

I should mention that I do have some interesting photos from around town. I'll get round to posting them soon enough. Hopefully, but like I said, I'm mooching internet.

Moving

I spent the better part of today moving. In fact, that's all I've done today. And it was hot. But I'm pretty much moved in. All that's left is a couple of chairs, some clothes, a bag, and some kitchen stuff. Less than a car load easily.

It's funny though, as I can't really live at my new place just yet. The other flatmates haven't moved in yet, and they're the ones with kitchen stuff. So cooking will occur at my parents' place for a little longer.

And this time in two weeks, I'll be in Portland celebating St Patrick's Day with Elaine. I can't wait, though the waiting is horrible. I know I'm not the most patient man.

Quick Catch Up

So it's been a little far between posts, and I have good reason. Firstly, having to organise moving into a new house has been time consuming. Secondly, making time to finalise things such as my iminent depature to Vienna via the States, and people's birthday presents has taken a chunk of time. Oh, and I've been playing paintball.

As for the new house, it's absolutely stunning. But in moving I discovered how much clutter I actually have. It's astounding. Hopefully I'll have everything sorted for the final shift tomorrow. Hopefully.

Currently, I'm entertaining the flatmate of a friend of mine from the exchange. It's good to see some famaliar faces, and it just rushes back some memories that weren't as clear as before. Like dinner at their flat, the candles everywhere, the amazing food, good conversation, and hassling Linus about watching Ultimate Fighting late at night which his flatemate mistook as gay porn. Good times.

So, it'll now be off to see Wellington and have a good time in this nice crisp Autumn weather. But one final parting shot. It's two weeks till I head on over to the States! I can't wait.
